Sheppey Gateway, in the heart of Sheerness High Street provides you with access to a wide range of public, voluntary and community services. Whether you need to find information on registering a birth or finding out about a care home, you can get advice from us and Kent County Council services as well as accessing the library, use of computers and join up to educational courses. Other facilities include customer toilets with disabled access and a changing place facility.

Sheppey library

Offers members a wide range of services - free access to books, ebooks and eAudiobooks, as well as free use of computers, internet and many online resources. Information on renewing or reserving a library book and more can be found on the Kent County Council website.

Adult education

Skills Plus is a free service based at Sheppey Gateway, that provides a way of aiding people who may have gaps in their qualifications, or who are held back in their careers because they do not have the recognised qualifications they need in English or Maths. Offering help to brush up on those skills and earn national qualifications that can make the difference.

Kent Adult Education provides courses for individuals and bespoke courses for businesses in areas such as creative skills, health, sport, leisure and self development. Take a look at the new course programme and see what inspires you and book online.
