Forward Plan
The Council's Forward Plan outlines future decisions to be made by the Executive or Council. It is updated monthly and covers a four month period. Certain decisions are considered Key Decisions. The definition of a Key Decision is: 'An Executive decision which is likely to (a) result in the local authority making incurring expenditure which is, or the making of savings which are, significant having regard to the local authority's budget for the service or function to which the decision relates; or (b) to be significant in terms of its effects on communities living or working in an area comprising two or more wards or electoral divisions in the area of the local authority.' The key decision threshold, confirmed by Council, is set at £100,000 (this relates to (a) of the definition above). Whilst we are only required to include Key Decisions in the Forward Plan, we will also include other items, where possible, to make it a more useful document. Documents that are exempt from publication under the Local Government Acts are not available to the public. The Forward Plan will be available for inspection by the public at Sheerness and Faversham District Offices and the Council Offices at Swale House, Sittingbourne. The online library of Forward Plan's is sorted in date order by the start of the period it reports on. For example, if you are looking for the November 2008 to January 2009 Forward Plan then you must look under 2008 below and not 2009.
