Project History

At the end of August 2005 four Artists; Linda Gibson, David Edwards, Bridgette Ashton and Wendy Lewis did a short residency in Queenborough. The project brief was to focus on the Time Team’s excavation of the Queenborough Castle site, and local peoples reactions to the event.

They were on site throughout the week, and spent the time gathering images, photographing, filming, drawing, and thinking about their ideas. This research was used to feed into the exhibition which happened March, where people were able to relate their own memories of the summer dig, to both the artworks and the programme shown on TV on the 12th March 2006.
